Finance Guidelines
If a child tries out and commits and then chooses not to play:
If the team made cuts and the child took someone else’s spot, no money will be refunded.
If the team is told before the child has been rostered with the state (whether a replacement player is found or not), all but $60 will be refunded.
If the child cannot play because of GCCSA scheduling, (parent told practices would be on the same day for different teams, parent told practices would be on T/TH and they are on M/W, etc,) all money will be reimbursed unless the child has been rostered, then $60 will be kept to pay for state fees.
If the child has been rostered, $100 is due no matter what.
If a child quits once the season has begun, or if he quits while the team is playing a preseason tournament, no money will be reimbursed.
If the child is leaving to play for another association after committing to us, the above rules apply.
If a child gets injured:
If the injury is before the season begins and no fees have been paid to the state, all money will be refunded.
If the injury is after the season has begun, a reimbursement of GCCSA fees will be forthcoming using a percentage (games already played vs. games child will miss.) $100 must be kept for fees already paid to the state.
If a child committed to a two season team and is only hurt for one of the seasons, he/she is expected to pay or play for the second season.
If a child is hurt for both seasons (per doctor’s note), prior to the start of any league games or tournaments, all but $100 will be reimbursed.
If a child did not complete his/her payments in the past:
All fees from prior seasons must be paid or must be forgiven by the GCCSA president before a child begins practice.
If you have any questions about fees, please contact Kristin Enderby.
