Classic Program Details
Classic players compete in U11-U18 divisions. The goal for our classic level players is to develop into a complete player not only technically but also physically and mentally. Providing a positive and effective training environment for our players to reach their highest potential is the main goal for the GCCSA. This is achieved thorough the use of age specific activities designed to progress each player individually and in a team environment.
Curriculum
- Developed in alignment with the US Soccer Curriculum
- Team and player specific to provide work in the areas that are necessary
- Developed to enhance all aspects of our players; Technical, Tactical, Physical, and Mental
- Delivered by experienced and well educated staff coaches
Classic Format
Our Classic program provides players with the opportunity to train two nights a week at U11 up to four nights a week for our U18 players. The Classic program also includes the supplemental SKILLS program that is offered to provide soccer specific speed, agility, and technical ball work each week. Off season training is one of the major opportunities for our high school players to benefit from our club facilities and coaching staff all year round within our Classic Program. Classic division teams compete in the NCYSA Classic League.
How do I sign up?
Annual tryouts are held every May. All players must try out every year for team placement.
Questions?
Please direct questions on the GCCSA Classic program to Arik Lemmon, Director of Coaching.
U11 - U18
At the GCCSA our Classic program is about preparing our players for the demands of soccer at the highest level, whether that be collegiate or professional. Many of our players have joined Div. I and Div. II rosters because of the lessons learned at the GCCSA.
